Nature of the platform and acceptance of the terms
By using the platform or creating an account, the user agrees to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
SIRIUS is a tool for displaying and organizing ready-made educational questions and helping students practise and track their progress. It is not a university, faculty, hospital, government entity, or medical service provider, and it does not represent any of them.
Mentioning the name of a university or course does not indicate official accreditation or sponsorship. Displaying a question does not mean that SIRIUS wrote it or that SIRIUS is the owner of the opinion or the original source.
Educational content
Questions, answers, explanations, images, and information are provided only for study and training and are not:
- An official curriculum, examination, or result.
- A guarantee of success or of obtaining a particular grade.
- Medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- A substitute for lectures or approved university and medical references.
Content may be incomplete, outdated, incorrect, or different from the user's reference or university system. Important information must be verified against an official source or a current medical reference.
SIRIUS is not responsible for the consequences of relying on a question, answer, explanation, or image, nor for any academic, professional, or medical loss resulting from using it for a purpose other than education.
Content sources, intellectual property, and similarity between questions
SIRIUS is a display and organization platform and is not the original author of everything shown on it. Rights in some questions, images, and references may belong to their original owners, and every right remains with its owner. Material is displayed as found in its available sources, without any admission by SIRIUS of knowing its original source or warranting that it is free from ownership claims.
SIRIUS does not guarantee that every item submitted by a user or external source is free from ownership claims, and it does not claim ownership of third-party content merely because that content is displayed, nor does display constitute a waiver or acquisition of any right.
Notice-and-takedown: If any person, university, or publisher believes that material infringes a right belonging to them, they may send to the support email a notice including: (1) identification of the affected material sufficient to locate it within the platform, (2) a statement of the rights holder or the reporter's standing, (3) contact details for a reply, and (4) a good-faith statement that the notice is accurate. SIRIUS will remove or restrict access to the reported material within a reasonable practical time after receiving a sufficient notice, without any admission of liability and without prior judicial review, and will inform the reporter of the action taken. The affected uploader may submit a documented counter-statement, which will be reviewed in good faith.
Repeat infringers: SIRIUS may suspend or terminate the account of any user who is shown to repeatedly upload content infringing third-party rights after being notified.
Medical and patient images
Some questions may include educational images of cases or diseases. Displaying an image does not mean that SIRIUS captured it, owns it, or knows the identity of the person shown in it.
Uploading an identifiable patient image, a confidential image, or an image that is not authorized for publication is prohibited. Uploaded images, if any, are displayed from open sources on the internet for the practical training required by some subjects. If an image is shown to be protected or infringing, the notice-and-takedown procedure in section (03) applies to it. SIRIUS is not responsible for their publication.
Artificial intelligence
Some explanations may use Google Gemini or a similar automated system. The system may produce incorrect information, an inaccurate reference, or an incomplete explanation.
- Do not use the output for diagnosis, treatment, or clinical decisions.
- Verify the information against an approved medical or university reference.
- Do not enter patient data, personal data, or confidential material.
Account
The platform is intended for users aged 18 years or older. By creating an account, the user affirms that they have reached this age. Any account shown to have been created in violation may be suspended and its data deleted, and a guardian may contact the support email to request deletion.
The user must:
- Provide a valid email address and safeguard the password.
- Not share the account or impersonate another person.
- Report any unauthorized use.
- Not use the platform to harm others or violate the law.
SIRIUS may invalidate sessions, require a password change, or suspend an account to protect users and the platform.
Acceptable use
The user is granted a personal, limited licence to use the platform for non-commercial educational purposes. The user may not:
- Copy, republish, or sell the question bank.
- Extract data automatically or create a competing database.
- Hack the platform, exceed its permissions or limits, or circumvent the protection technologies used.
- Share confidential or leaked questions or use them to cheat.
- Publish illegal content, threats, defamation, or malicious software.
- Collect user data or attempt to identify the owners of pseudonyms.
Violating content may be removed, the account may be suspended or terminated, and appropriate action may be taken.
User content
The user retains their rights in the messages, suggestions, and images they submit and grants SIRIUS a limited right to store, review, and use them to operate the platform, respond to the request, and improve the service.
The sender warrants that they have the right to submit the material and that it does not infringe the privacy, confidentiality, or property of others. SIRIUS may remove any material that is inappropriate or of questionable legality.
Anonymous messages
A message may be sent without an account and will appear to the administration under the name “Anonymous User.” Limited technical data may be used to prevent abuse, so this feature does not provide absolute technical anonymity.
Attaching a screenshot is optional. The user must review it and must not send patient data, a password, or information that they do not have the right to share.
Advertising and sponsorship
SIRIUS has the right to display general advertisements, sponsorships, or promotional content within the website or application, and to add or remove an advertisement or change its location and appearance, without prior notice or separate consent before each advertisement.
An advertisement may relate to education, books, courses, or other lawful products and services. It must be distinguished from educational content when its appearance could cause confusion.
SIRIUS does not guarantee the advertiser or product and is not a party to a purchase made outside the platform. This clause does not permit the use of a user's data, name, or image in a personalized advertisement in a manner that violates the Privacy Policy or the law.
Changes and availability
SIRIUS may add, remove, or modify content, a feature, or an advertisement, or temporarily stop the platform for maintenance or security, without guaranteeing that every feature will continue.
These Terms may be amended and a new version published. If an amendment is material, we will provide appropriate notice whenever possible or legally required.
Fees
SIRIUS is currently free unless a paid service is clearly described. No fees will be charged without stating the price and service terms and obtaining the user's acceptance.
If a paid service is added, its payment, cancellation, and refund terms will be published before purchase in accordance with the law.
Limitation of liability
The platform is provided as available, with reasonable care, and without a guarantee of complete accuracy, permanent availability, or suitability for a medical or university purpose.
SIRIUS is not responsible for:
- Errors in material received from other sources or users.
- An answer differing from a university reference or scientific information changing.
- Using content for a medical decision, during an examination, or in violation of university regulations.
- A failure of the user's device, internet connection, or external hosting services.
- Loss of local data that has not been synchronized.
- The actions of a user, advertiser, or external website.
Suspension and termination
An account that violates these Terms or threatens the platform or its users may be suspended or terminated. The user may stop using the platform and request deletion of their account by email.
Provisions relating to ownership, limitation of liability, and disputes remain in effect after termination to the extent necessary.
General provisions — governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the competent Egyptian courts have jurisdiction, without prejudice to the user's mandatory rights before the competent authorities. In the event of any conflict between the Arabic and English versions of these Terms or of the Privacy Policy, the Arabic version prevails.
Any dispute relating to use of the platform must be raised within six (6) months of the event giving rise to it, after attempting an amicable resolution through the support email.
If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force. These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between the user and SIRIUS regarding the service and supersede any prior agreement or description. SIRIUS may transfer the operation of the platform to an entity bound by these same Terms without separate consent, with an announcement inside the platform.
